Cashier II

About the Role

Provides excellent customer service by accurately ringing up sales, receiving money, and giving back change to guests. Balances cash drawers and inputs data into Mealtime at the end of shift. Creates the "WOW" experience for guests of Quest. Performs high-caliber customer service related to front-of-house duties and interactions with students and staff. Works primarily in the POS station, brews coffee, stocks FOH areas, makes coffee drinks, performs light prep, and builds grab-and-go items.

Responsibilities

• Cascades the vision of Quest Food Management Services, ensuring the Quest vision, values, and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood, and practiced.
• Demonstrates commitment to Quest’s vision, values, and missions through daily actions.
• Provides efficient, friendly, and prompt service to students and staff.
• Ensures all sales transactions are accurate.
• Conducts daily count of register drawer at the end of shift and posts to the MealTime system.
• Assists manager with replenishing change in a timely manner.
• Places daily inventory orders for front-of-house items, including bakery, disposables, and beverages.
• Assists in overall sanitation and organization of the line and surrounding areas.
• Maintains open, positive, and effective communication with others.
• Performs closing responsibilities, including storing, cleaning, and restocking all assigned areas.
• Ensures cashiers meet Quest standards for appearance and efficiency at the cashier station.
• Builds and maintains relationships with clients, guests, and staff by using their names and anticipating their needs.
• Completes all side jobs and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Makes coffee drinks, performs light preparation, and builds grab-and-go items.
• Adheres to all business policies and procedures with the highest practical standards.
• Follows all Quest policies and food safety guidelines.
• Reports to scheduled shifts on time and in complete uniform.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash handling and one year in a lead cashier position.
• Previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in schools or higher education (preferred).
