Cashier (hiring all shifts)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cashier to join our team in our Mt. Vernon, MO travel center. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will ensure customers receive the best service possible while maintaining accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they enter and exit, providing them with information about services and products.
• Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Keep the cashier and dining areas clean and well-organized.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong verbal communication skills for effective customer engagement.
• Dependable with the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
