About the role

This position is designated as a “responsible employee” who has the authority to redress sexual violence, who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has this authority or duty.

This position is a “designated position” meaning this position could potentially be required to work (depending on the event) during an emergency closing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and accurately check out customers at all retail operations.
• Work a flexible schedule.
• Read and write.
• Demonstrate knowledge of food service equipment and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of handling money and making change.
• Be dependable and punctual.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in the food service industry.
• Experience working in a university or college setting.
• Experience as a cashier.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills/ability to work well with the public.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Pay

Salary $15.53 to $19.41 per hour commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

• Part-time, hourly position.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Conditions of Employment

• This is an HOURLY position and does NOT entitle the incumbent to Commonwealth of Virginia benefits and is limited to 1500 hours in a 365-day period.
• Selected candidate will be required to attend a 2-Day New Employee Orientation Program.
