CASHIER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

About the role

We are hiring immediate full time and part time CASHIER positions at SUNY Old Westbury located at 223 Store Hill Road, Old Westbury, NY 11568. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules are full time and part time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. A prior barista experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts and completing cash reports.
• Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
• Enters all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
• May also perform general food service work.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Replenishes condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Prior barista experience is required. This includes experience at places like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
