Cashier/Food Attendant-Full Time, Evenings/Late nights

Responsibilities

• Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resilience to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions.
• Works effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
• Greeting customers, serving guests at the counter, using cash register for guest payment.
• Greets customers in a friendly and timely manner, addressing them by name whenever possible.
• Knowledgeable in menu and any specials, informing guests as seated.
• Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
• Wears black, slip resistant shoes at all times.
• Maintains clean and organized service area and helps maintain seating area by cleaning tables in the vicinity.
• Recognizes an intoxicated guest and handles according to company and state rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
• Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, and one-year restaurant experience equivalent preferred.
• Proficient math and cashiering skills.
• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including, but not limited to, serving trays, cash register systems, telephone, clearly and effectively, and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests.
• Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
• Ability to move effectively and efficiently around restaurant, between chairs, tables and guests.
• Walking/Standing 100% of which 15% is bending/lifting (up to 20lbs).
• Restaurant/Casino environment—exposed to varied levels of smoke, lights, noise, and temperatures.
• Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reports to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes.
• Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
