About the role

The Cashier is responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy in processing transactions effectively and efficiently. This includes handling all types of payments such as cash, checks, credit cards, both in-person and through various digital channels.

Responsibilities

• Process all forms of payment including cash, checks, credit cards, in-person, online, and by phone.
• Maintain a professional demeanor consistent with the standards of integrity, respect, and compassion.
• Operate credit card machines and calculators accurately.
• Achieve proficiency in basic math skills to handle monies received.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for efficient data management if necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service that aligns with CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a physician office or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to operate a credit card machine and calculator.
• Math skills to accurately handle monies received.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
