Cashier
Summary of Job Duties
The Cashier handles register transactions with customers at retail food outlets, including operating cash register to receive money for sales of food service items and making change. The position may also prepare and/or serve food items for customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School diploma/GED plus 6 months customer service and cashier experience required.
- Knowledge of Point of Sales Systems (POS).
- Preferred: Food service experience preferred. ServSafe certified.
Responsibilities
- Performs all transactions involving forms of payment including cash, cards, meal tickets and payroll deduct, etc.
- Preparing and producing specialty drinks.
- Cleans immediate work area around register as well as work unit including walls, chairs, tables, cabinets, etc.
- Stocks paper goods, food items and beverages as needed.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
