About the Role
Cashiers are our go-to team members, ensuring guests at the front cash register and/or drive-thru are greeted with a warm welcome. They handle cash and credit card transactions, prepare and fulfill take-out orders, answer the front phone, and expedite food to tables. Cashiers add energy to the shift and embody southern hospitality, ensuring all guests—whether dining in or taking their meal to go—are well taken care of.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests at the front cash register and drive-thru with a warm welcome
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Prepare and fulfill take-out orders
- Answer the front phone and assist with inquiries
- Expedite food to tables in the dining area
- Maintain a positive and energetic attitude to enhance the guest experience
- Attend and complete any required training or certification programs

Qualifications
- Related experience and/or training in the restaurant industry
- High school diploma or GED
Skills

- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role requires standing for prolonged periods, handling products, tools, paperwork, and equipment, and effective communication with team members. Essential physical tasks include:
- Continuous bending, reaching, crouching, touching, feeling, tasting, talking, hearing, wiping, smelling, and inhaling smoke from a wood-burning cooker
- Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds
- Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 35 pounds
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds
- Working near moving mechanical parts
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, cleaning chemicals, and frequent handwashing
- Exposure to temperatures ranging from 0°F to 100°F
- Ability to perform essential functions for up to an 8-hour shift
