Cashier

About the role

Parkhurst Dining at Rosemont College is now hiring a cashier to join our team and be part of a dynamic dining program serving the Rosemont College community. We offer varied shifts and flexible scheduling. Previous food service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge the presence of our guests immediately, with a friendly greeting.
• Utilize the tools provided to stay organized.
• Learn menu and daily specials, keeping in close communication with management.
• Bus tables and help maintain cleanliness.
• Restock/organize areas surrounding the check out counters.
• Handle all POS transactions ethically and according to company policies, including all cash, meal plan or swipe, and Cater Trax orders.
• Accurately make change for all cash-paying guests, maintain proper counts of all transactions, maintain accurate balance in cash drawer at all times, and reconcile cash drawer after every meal.

Requirements

• Standing and/or walking - 100% of time.
• Occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Frequently lifting up to 20 lbs.
