About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role involves engaging with guests, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked register station.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests through friendly conversations and eye contact.
• Scan groceries, process sales, and handle transactions efficiently.
• Bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and assist guests accordingly.
• Keep the register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed.
• Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor commitments regarding regular attendance and adequate notice for absences.

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

• Customer Service Skills: Engaging with guests and providing outstanding retail service.
• Retail Experience: Processing information and merchandise transactions, handling cash and media at registers.
• Communication: Effective communication with both customers and retail associates.
• Accuracy: Reading, counting, and writing accurately to ensure precise transactions.
• Equipment Operation: Operating all necessary equipment to perform the job.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The associate must be able to stand for long periods, walk around the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, along with eye-hand-foot coordination, are required to operate equipment. The associate must also lift and move boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.

Work Schedule

The Cashier position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
