The Cashier provides customer service and cash handling in a retail store environment. The role is expected to be a role model of the company by delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining company core values.
- Demonstrate care and compassion for people; show empathy and concern.
- Build and maintain positive team relationships; relate well to diverse people.
- Clearly communicate and enforce standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.
- Ensure all goals as a Cashier are met regarding Bottom of the Basket.
- Participate in Cashier training and follow policies including WIC, Checks, Liquor, and Tobacco.
- Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation, and all saved recall transactions.
- Maintain personal Cashier Productivity.
- Follow WIC Compliance procedures.
- Ensure presentation of Front End, including cleaning and organization, as well as personal appearance.
- Perform other store duties as needed.
Customer Service
- Demonstrate personal Customer Service excellence.
- Engage with customers consistently.
- Improve speed and efficiency of service provided.
Requirements
- Customer Service and retail experience desirable.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
- Walking: Continuously, throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
- Standing: Continuously, throughout shift.
- Lifting: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay
$17.15 to $19.59 per hour. Within this range, individual pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
