Cashier

Essential Functions

• Greets customers, tactfully and pleasantly serves customers.
• Follows all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with cash variance policy.
• Operates electronic cash registers accurately and efficiently.
• May be responsible for inventory control, including processing new items and stocking products.
• Maintains orderly appearance of register area and stocked supplies.
• May assist with pricing as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to learn and comply with cash register system and procedures.
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of customers.
• Ability to follow instructions, oral and written.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
