Cashier

About the role

An OTC Cashier contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to shoppers, donors, people seeking testing, or pharmacy patrons. Within their duties of ringing up sales and answering customers’ questions, this position has the opportunity to give standout service that enhances the reputation of AHF and encourages customers to return to an OTC and recommend it to others. Better sales performance will increase AHF's ability to serve more clients. Precision in the handling of cash and credit purchases protects AHF and maximizes revenue from the store.

The Cashier can enhance the experience of other OTC employees by being friendly and helpful and by offering to lend a hand when needed. Additionally, providing feedback to their manager about how service could be improved allows the team member to further enhance their contribution. The Cashier adds consistent value to the OTC Team by adapting to various situations with ease and by being flexible.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales and process cash and credit purchases accurately.
• Answer customers’ questions and provide standout service to enhance AHF’s reputation.
• Encourage customer loyalty and recommendations through exceptional interactions.
