Cashier

About the role

An OTC Cashier contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to shoppers, donors, people seeking testing, or pharmacy patrons. Within their duties of ringing up sales and answering customers’ questions, this position has the opportunity to give standout service that enhances the reputation of AHF and encourages customers to return and recommend the store to others. Better sales performance increases AHF's ability to serve more clients. Precision in handling cash and credit purchases protects AHF and maximizes revenue. The Cashier can also enhance the experience of other OTC employees by being friendly, helpful, and offering assistance when needed. Additionally, providing feedback to their manager about service improvements allows the team member to further contribute to the team.

The Cashier adds consistent value to the OTC Team by adapting to various situations with ease and demonstrating flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales and process cash and credit purchases accurately.
• Answer customers’ questions and provide standout service to enhance AHF’s reputation.
• Encourage repeat business and customer recommendations through excellent service.
• Support other OTC employees by being friendly, helpful, and offering assistance when needed.
• Provide feedback to management on how service could be improved.
