Responsibilities
- Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
- Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
- Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
- Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
- Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
- Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements
- You’re 18 years of age or older
- You enjoy working with people and providing great service
- You’re comfortable learning and using technology
- You listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized
- You’re dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to help
- Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required
- You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods

Pay
This job has a step pay plan that generally starts between $15.25 and $16.98 per hour, with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
