Cashier - $17/hr.
Job Summary
Greet our guests with a smile, quickly and accurately take their order and payment. Inside and outside (Drive-Up) positions available. Take phone orders or catering orders to help our guests plan their special events. Give out completed orders to guests by calling out numbers with a rhyme. (#29, it’s time to dine!) Prepare food to our high-quality standards and maintain a clean and sanitary workspace. Cook food to order, such as, Italian Beef, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries, and much more. Follow provided recipes and uphold the Portillo’s standard. Ensure proper sanitation practices are in place. Follow the recipes provided to create eye-catching, fresh, made-to-order salads and maintain a clean workspace.
Qualifications
Due to airport security regulations, all selected candidates must successfully complete and pass an airport background check prior to employment. We operate in a fast-paced environment and require team members with flexible, open availability to support peak business hours, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Due to applicable requirements, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Pay and Schedule
The pay rate for this role is $17 per hour. This position is also served with: An additional $2/hour for all hours worked after 11pm, $2/hour when working outside in temperatures below 33 degrees Fahrenheit, and $3/hour to work on holidays*. Qualifications
Must have worked at Portillo’s for 1 year with an average of at least 20 hours over a 6-month period. Military Veterans are encouraged to apply.
