Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts.
• Reconcile daily payment batches and ensure proper allocation of funds.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, denials, and misapplied payments.
• Communicate with insurance companies and internal departments to clarify payment details.
• Maintain compliance with billing regulations and financial policies.
• Aid in month-end closing processes related to payment posting.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in cash posting, medical billing, or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in medical billing systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and within a team environment.
