Cash Operations Specialist

About the role

The Cash Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the firm's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of daily receipts and resolving any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely application of daily receipts to the general ledger
• Maintain and troubleshoot current technology solutions for cash application
• Evaluate business processes and recommend suggestions for improvements
• Prioritize tasks and identify issues to escalate promptly to Senior Manager and Controller
• Monitor daily banking activity throughout the day
• Pursue resolution of unmatched receipts/incomplete payments/other unusual or unclear transactions by collaborating closely with multiple groups within and outside Finance
• Build strong relationships that will enable successful collaboration and resolution of issues
• Reconcile daily cash received in the bank to cash applied to the general ledger, resolve variances in a timely manner
• Provide real time updates and daily summaries to Finance and firm leadership
• Collaborate with the GL team on daily cash accounting by resolving credits and other unposted bank activity and queries

Requirements

• Associates Degree, or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree a plus
• 3 years+ of financial experience in a related role; law firm or professional services experience a plus

• Proficiency in ERP software and Excel
• Ability to work overtime, as needed

Pay

The target salary range for this position varies by location and is commensurate with relevant experience: $60,000.00-$75,000.00
