Responsibilities
- Completes daily credit card reconciliations – this includes access to credit card information as required by business and job duties
- Assists with store over/short, chargeback, and credit card fees analysis
- Verifies bank deposits
- Completes monthly bank reconciliations
- Assists with month-end close and meets all applicable deadlines to ensure timely close of the financial statements
- Assists with audits and special projects
- Interacts and effectively communicates with customers and various internal departments
- Enhances overall department performance by sharing experiences and knowledge
- Helps file as needed
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
- Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
- Performs other requested tasks and duties
Requirements
- 2-5 years accounting experience
- Retail experience a plus
- Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience with Multiview or Oracle a plus
- Experience with Trintech ReconNET a plus
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to quickly separate mission-critical tasks from lower-priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects
- Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
- Focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure
- Professional manner and strong communication skills internally and with outside vendor partners
- Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and company, objectively processing information
