Responsibilities
- Support the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), Background Information Systems (BIS), Case Processing and other background investigation systems.
- Support requirements elicitation, analysis, development, testing, and application level operational support for mission critical applications providing background investigation processing.
- Serve as a member of the development team working both operational and maintenance (O&M) and enhancement initiatives associated with application-level development and operations support.
- Interact and coordinate touchpoints related to infrastructure, networking, security, and other support entities.
- Use ServiceNow as the primary workflow management tool within the environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of software programming experience (or commensurate experience).
- Understanding of the Background Investigation process.
- Strong experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
- Experience of large-scale applications on a mainframe platform or client server environment developing in both a Batch and Online environment.
- Experience working with customers in defining requirements.
- Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems or sub-systems.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with software application program development and management personnel.
- Proficient in O365 components to include Word, Excel, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Working knowledge using IBM’s Connect:Direct for file transfers.
- Proficiency programming in Natural using ADABAS.
- Experience developing using Software AG’s NaturalONE Eclipse-based development environment.
- Experience with using IBM MQ.
- Familiarity with Confluence and/or Jira.
- Experience with meeting hosting via MS Teams.
