$29.12 – $30.22 per hour

Position Summary

Children’s Aid’s Enhanced Family Foster Care program places children with supportive families in their own neighborhoods when their parents cannot offer them the stability, safety, and support they need to thrive. The program addresses a wide range of child‑welfare situations, from temporary placements that allow birth families to address issues until reunification, to specialized homes with highly trained foster parents for children with chronic medical and developmental conditions or trauma. The program provides training to support individuals in these roles.

Responsibilities

• Work with a dynamic team of professionals—including therapists, education specialists, and social workers—in the foster‑care program.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10 children with varied levels of mental‑health needs.
• Provide intensive casework and fieldwork services for children and their birth and foster families to achieve permanency as quickly as possible.
• Conduct outreach to connect children and families with agency and community treatment resources.
• Utilize CONNECTIONS, the child‑welfare computer system.
• Coordinate Family Team Conferences.
• Actively participate in case consultations.
• Maintain written case records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Foster‑care experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Computer literacy.

Schedule

The incumbent is expected to work a schedule, whether in‑person or hybrid, as determined by departmental needs to facilitate effective collaboration with the team. Flexibility is essential for maintaining seamless communication, fostering teamwork, and ensuring smooth operation of department processes.
