Case Manager/ Paralegal - Personal Injury

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
  • Drafting of legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
  • Research and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys
  • Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
  • Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
  • Able to demonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversight
  • Monitor & manage client’s medical treatment
  • Sends requests for information including medical records & billing
  • Maintain/organize client files
  • Preparation and filing of general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits into Case Management Software
  • Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges
  • Complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) plus years of experience working with NC personal injury claims
  • Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues

Preferred

  • Associate's degree or higher Paralegal certificate
