Case Management Supervisor - Social Work

About the role

The Supervisor of Case Management is responsible for supervising Social Worker Case Managers, RN Case Managers, UR Tech, and Discharge Planners. They work with the facility Medical Review Coordinator (MRC) on Peer to Peer review, outcomes, and initial appeal requests. They oversee the quality and resource management of all patients admitted to the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to Social Worker Case Managers, RN Case Managers, UR Tech, and Discharge Planners.
• Work with the facility Medical Review Coordinator (MRC) on Peer to Peer review, outcomes, and initial appeal requests.
• Oversee the quality and resource management of all patients admitted to the facility.
• Facilitate and ensure the achievement of quality, clinical, and cost-effective outcomes.
• Perform a holistic and comprehensive admission and concurrent review of the medical record to assure all parameters for MCG/Milliman criteria/InterQual.
• Find medical necessity, intensity of service, and severity of illness in the medical overview.

Requirements

• Licensed clinician in your state.
• At least one-year experience in case management, discharge planning, or management.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Preferred qualifications

• CCM or obtained within 1 year.
• Minimum 5 years of acute care experience.
• Current BCLS certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of Milliman Criteria and InterQual Criteria preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $37.12 to $56.26.
