Case Management Coordinator of Undergraduate Academic Integrity

About the role

The Case Management Coordinator for Undergraduate Academic Integrity is a part-time, 12-month staff position integral to promoting and supporting a culture of honesty and integrity at Virginia Tech. This role interprets, evaluates, and implements the Undergraduate Honor System policy under the direction of the Director for Undergraduate Academic Integrity. Busy periods include midterms (Fall: October; Spring: March–April) and final exams (November/December; May).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee students’ academic integrity records (background checks, internships, security clearances, etc.).
  • Provide mentoring and training for student delegates through Maxient software.
  • Process, manage, and track all Undergraduate Academic Integrity (UAI) cases.
  • Support data requests using Maxient and university data sources for monthly reports.
  • Serve as a backup for administrative tasks, including monitoring the HonorSys email and answering calls to the Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity (OUAI).
  • Consult with students, faculty, and other university stakeholders regarding case evidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with related experience.
  • Strong written, oral, organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service in an academic or professional environment.
  • Record of professionalism and demonstrated work ethic.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and timely decision-making practices to accomplish organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education, specifically in academic integrity, student conduct, housing and residence life, or other community standards systems.

Pay

$30.00 per hour. Overtime-eligible (non-exempt).

Schedule

20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 noon; limited to a total of 1,500 hours per year.
