Key Responsibilities
- Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance when transmitting patient information.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling and communication with post-acute providers.
- Manage office supplies and department equipment.
- Auxiliary with referrals, authorizations, and documentation under supervision.
- Prioritize and forward insurance communications, document authorizations, denials, and status updates.
- Obtain patient signatures and maintain records per policy.
- Prioritize and complete tasks independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to departmental needs and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED; 18+ years old.
- Experience in healthcare or medical insurance industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work onsite, full-time, Sunday to Thursday, with flexibility for overtime.
- Preferred: 1+ years in office or medical settings, customer service, Epic experience.
