About the role
The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is a social and human services agency dedicated to protecting and supporting the safety, well-being, and future of vulnerable children and families. We are currently hiring Case Aide-Visitations to strengthen families, ensure safety, and achieve permanency for Arizona's children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise visitation meetings among parents and children
- Enter case notes into the computer-based Case Management System
- Drive on state business to transport children to appointments and meetings
- Perform other duties appropriate to the assignment
- Build and maintain trusting, professional relationships
- Communicate with compassion, professionalism, and discretion in sensitive situations
- Use attention to detail when completing clerical tasks
- Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, digital calendars, video conferencing, and mobile technology to document and coordinate work
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory 39 month driving record
- The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Work history, Central Registry, and Public Record will be considered
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic principles of human and social services
- Child welfare and family support concepts
- Basic safety practices related to client transportation and child safety seating
