About the Role
We are seeking a CAS Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and finance functions for multiple small-to-medium-sized business clients within a shared-services and advisory environment. This role provides clients with accurate financial reporting, analysis, accounting guidance, and process improvement recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and finance functions for multiple business clients.
- Review monthly financial statements and perform month-over-month and actual-to-budget variance analysis.
- Analyze financial information and provide actionable insights and decision support to clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement accounting technologies, systems, integrations, and automation to improve month-end close processes.
- Develop and document standardized accounting procedures, methodologies, and templates.
- Lead initial client assessments, implementations, and onboarding activities.
- Establish processes to ensure high-quality client service and timely deliverables.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and assisting with presentations and proposals.
- Leverage technology and automation to improve internal and client-facing accounting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; advanced degree is a plus.
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Public accounting or audit experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting processes, and financial analysis.
- M&A accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client service.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
