About the role
The Chemical Technician plays a critical role in ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, troubleshooting and resolving immediate issues, and proactively addressing potential issues to enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, expert solutions to all customers to enable their business to be profitable and ensure customer satisfaction with clean, shiny, dry vehicles.
- Titrate and volumetrically measure products as needed.
- Perform minor chemical equipment and application repairs.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by monitoring customer levels and managing chemical inventory and replenishment orders.
- Conduct site chemical conversions and installations, and keep customers informed of progress.
- Support and execute on corporate accounts according to protocols, provide on-site revenue program training, and conduct technical and chemistry training.
- Analyze customer outputs and recommend technical updates or ways to increase efficiency and wash counts.
- Identify areas of opportunity for new accounts, conduct initial intake discussions, and communicate findings to sales management.
- Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Average of 50-75 sites per month.
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
- Car Wash experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide the highest level of customer service and support.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to support overnight travel up to 40% based on territory and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
- Car Wash experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
