Carton Folder Gluer Operator

Nosco is looking for a Carton Folder Gluer Operator on Second shift at our Bristol, PA facility. As an employee owner in this position, you will operate our carton folding/gluing asset to perform the final step of folding carton production. The purpose of this role is to produce folding cartons that meet on-time delivery, high quality expectations, and all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a folder/gluer per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
• Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
• Troubleshoot machine problems as they pertain to equipment and setup.
• Perform testing as required and understand corrective actions necessary to achieve passing results.
• Assist in minimizing the scope of remakes by identifying problems in a timely fashion and effectively communicating with customer fulfillment technicians.
• Perform clean-up and maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
• Sustain a high rate of productivity, meeting expectations for setup time and run speeds as established by department leads.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Preferably 2+ years of carton folder/gluer experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
• Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
• Flexibility to work any shift and overtime.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64".
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling.
• Extended periods of standing; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Long periods of concentration.
• Speaking, hearing, and vision are essential to performing job functions.
