carryout cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously as they arrive to pick up carryout orders.
• Process customer payments accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Verify orders to ensure accuracy before handing them to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the carryout area.
• Assist with bagging and packaging orders as needed.
• Answer customer questions and provide information about menu items.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth order flow.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
