Carrier Sales Representative

Responsibilities

  • Find and sign new carrier partnerships and effectively utilize these partnerships by providing carrier direct rates to customers and covering shipments.
  • Train and partner with carriers to accept tenders, assign tracking, quote in the Marketplace.
  • Remain in frequent contact with carriers in your responsibility to understand their needs.
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
  • Targeting minimum of 10 shipments per day average (monthly scale).

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 1 year demonstrated experience as Carrier Representative, Carrier Sales Specialist, Operations Representative or in other sales/customer service type role.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in conducting market research, sales, and negotiations.
  • Outstanding knowledge of G-Suite; comfortable in learning new proprietary software systems.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • BS or BA in business is preferred.
