The Role
At OTR, Carrier Sales is the heartbeat of our operation. In this entry-level role, you’ll learn how to build carrier relationships, match freight with the right partners, and support the successful execution of shipments across our network.

What You’ll Do
- Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Prospect, qualify, and onboard carriers to grow a reliable network
- Build long-term relationships with carrier reps, dispatchers, and drivers
- Source and match carriers to customer freight, negotiating rates and terms
- Maintain accurate load details, rate confirmations, and tracking updates in the TMS
- Monitor and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism
- Track and analyze carrier performance to drive loyalty and efficiency
Experience & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of sales, logistics, customer service, or related experience (logistics preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Motivated, competitive, and eager to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; TMS experience is a plus
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
