Carrier Representative

Duties/Responsibilities
- Unearth new carrier sales opportunities through networking and turn them into potential partnerships
- Utilize these partnerships by providing carrier direct rates to customers and covering shipments
- Work with carriers navigating our platform, including accepting tenders, assigning tracking, actively quoting in the Marketplace
- Present products to prospective carriers
- Remain in frequent contact with carriers in your responsibility to understand their needs
- Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data
- Targeting minimum 10 shipments per day average (monthly scale)
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience as an Operations Representative, Account Executive, Carrier Specialist or in other sales/customer service role
- Outstanding knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce) is a plus
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time-management skills
- A business acumen
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and self-motivated
- BS or BA in business is preferred

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
