Carrier Representative

Responsibilities

• Negotiates prices with carriers for shipping services.
• Buils relationships with carriers to establish long-term partnerships.
• Manages transportation logistics to ensure shipments arrive on time and meet customer expectations.
• Tracks shipments and maintains communication with carriers and customers throughout the transportation process.
• Develops and maintains a database of carriers to select from for each shipment.
• Optimizes shipping routes and methods to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Collaborates with other departments within the company, including sales and operations, to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Analyzes market trends and recommends new carriers or transportation methods to stay competitive.
• Provides training or guidance to other team members on industry best practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
• Account Management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional personal organizational skills.
