About the role
The Carrier Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining and developing all aspects of Carrier Compliance. This position is responsible for expressly collecting all needed information to onboard new carriers for ATS Logistics and its Subsidiary companies. The Carrier Compliance Specialist also maintains and supports continual monitoring and compliance needs for the carrier after initial onboarding. The Carrier Compliance Specialist will manage exceptions to the automated processes and be involved in manual setups as needed.
Responsibilities
- Verify carrier data in the Transportation Management System (TMS) via electronic automated options while monitoring for data integrity.
- Troubleshoot third-party monitoring systems when experiencing issues.
- Communicate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders directly.
- Collect, validate, and update carriers' insurance as needed.
- Verify new agents, subsidiaries, or sub-contractors from their respective parent companies when setting up a new branch or agents.
- Communicate with carriers, owners, and managers regarding onboarding, insurance, contracts, and confirmations of validated individuals.
- Complete due diligence when setting up a new carrier and conducting in-depth research before onboarding them.
- Understands and consistently performs in accordance with ATS's Mission, Vision, and Values.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma required and 2-4 years of experience in a customer-driven environment preferred.
- Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish trust and rapport with all levels of staff. Able to relate effectively to diverse cultures.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills; able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
- Must be proficient in responding to internal and external customer situations, responding to customer needs as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must demonstrate a proactive commitment to ATS corporate values and the success of all staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
- Excellent communication skills (written, listening, and verbal).

Pay
Hourly wage starting at $20.00-$22.00 an hour
