Carpenter with Welding Experience

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair building frameworks including walls, floors, ceilings, and structural supports
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
• Perform layout, measurement, and cutting of wood, metal, and composite materials
• Weld structural and non-structural metal components using appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or Stick as required)
• Fabricate and install steel supports, brackets, and custom metal components
• Install doors, windows, drywall, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements when required
• Operate and maintain carpentry and welding tools and equipment safely
• Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to ensure projects meet timelines and specifications
• Follow safety regulations, and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized job site

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial carpentry
• Welding experience with common construction welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick)
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding work
• Welding certifications preferred but not always required depending on project
