Job Responsibilities
- Install thermal and acoustic insulation
- Manufacture and install keel blocks
- Install lead, damping materials
- Deck tile throughout many compartments and spaces on the submarine
- Provide linesman services for the shipyard
- Construct staging
- Establish and layout ship's reference points
- Support the moving and launching of the submarine
Work Conditions

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related technical experience
- 5+ years carpentry-related experience
- Able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
- Available for all shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational, Technical College, Apprentice programs, Military, shipbuilding, manufacturing and automotive experience
Skills
- Able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams
- Basic layout functions
- Willingness to take road jobs
- Ability to work all shifts
