Responsibilities
- Assemble and remove forms for concrete installation
- Build and install window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, stairways, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements
- Operate small hand and power tools for various worksite projects
- Take measurements and calculate material sizes and quantities
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools
- Distribute site materials according to project plans and specifications
- Maintain a safe work environment and communicate jobsite hazards
- Communicate with co-workers and stakeholders
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Follow safe work practices in accordance with Hensel Phelps safety and health program
- Take initiative and ask questions
- Possess a keen attention to detail and follow instructions
- Provide own safety footwear
- Communicate effectively and professionally
- Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills
- Reliable and punctual
Qualifications
- Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading
- OSHA 10 Certification
- CPR & First Aid Certification
Physical Demands
This is a heavy work position. The individual must exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly. The position requires walking, kneeling, sitting, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and maintaining body balance. The individual must also climb, work from heights, and balance while performing tasks.
