Apply today - you can also email us at randy@rhaus.me We have projects in Orono, Sebec Lake and Franklin Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role. The Carpenter will work on custom residential projects, performing framing, finish carpentry, and general construction tasks from layout through completion. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting plans, measuring and cutting materials, assembling structures, and installing doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry. The role involves safe and effective use of hand and power tools, maintaining a clean and organized job site, and collaborating with other crew members and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality standards. The Carpenter will also assist with troubleshooting on-site issues, ensuring work meets building codes and company specifications. QualificationsStrong general carpentry skills with experience in residential and/or light commercial construction.Proficiency in framing work, including layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling structural components.Skilled in finish carpentry, including trim work, doors, windows, cabinetry, and fine-detail installations.Safe and confident use of power tools such as saws, drills, nailers, and related equipment.Competent use of hand tools including hammers, chisels, levels, measuring tapes, and squares.Ability to read and follow construction plans, drawings, and specifications.Commitment to job-site safety practices and adherence to relevant building codes.Reliable transportation to Orono, ME job sites and ability to work in varying weather conditions.Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Previous carpentry experience or apprenticeship; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.intrest in building science, high perfomance building and passive house construction is a plus.
