Carpenter/Handyman
About the role
As a Silvi Materials Maintenance Handyman, you will complete numerous tasks involved in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Your responsibilities include maintaining and repairing the interior or exterior of company premises to ensure they are in top-tier condition.
Responsibilities
- Completing numerous and simultaneous tasks in Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC
- Perform maintenance and repairs in a well-organized manner
- Obtain, store, record, safeguard, and properly use equipment, materials, and supplies
- Maintain a safe, clean working area
- Drive a vehicle as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 2 years of similar work experience
- Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
- Deadline-oriented and detail-oriented
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Graduation from a technical or skills trades school preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion
- Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
- Stand for long periods of time
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
