About the role
TruBlue Home Service Ally is a position dedicated to helping seniors age in place safely and assisting busy families by providing home maintenance services. The role requires a Home Service Ally who combines technical expertise, empathy, and integrity to perform various tasks that keep homes safe and functional.
Responsibilities
- Tackle "honey-do" lists including carpentry, drywall patching, painting, misc. interior/exterior and flooring repairs.
- Install grab bars, ramps, and other accessibility modifications to support seniors.
- Perform seasonal home tune-ups and basic plumbing/electrical fixes (e.g., changing fixtures, fixing toilets).
- Build trust with clients through clear communication, respectful behavior, and "clean-as-you-go" professionalism.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Reliable and presentable transportation.
- A full set of basic tools including drill, impact, saw and other carpentry-related tools.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Experienced: 3-5+ years of paid experience in home repairs, remodeling, or a specialized trade.
- Skilled: Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Reliable: Shows up on time, every time, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
- Empathetic: Enjoy helping people and communicates effectively with seniors and their families.
