About the role
Fabricate, repair, and restore historic windows, doors, and millwork within a wood shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Construct window sashes, doors, screen frames, and storm units using period-accurate techniques
- Perform restoration repairs on historic woodwork
- Mill custom siding and trim pieces
- Maintain shop machinery and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Organize the workspace for efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
- Capacity to work with precision
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
Qualifications
- Experience in millwork, finish carpentry, and historic restoration techniques (ideal)
