Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, build plans, and production priorities with team leads or project managers.
• Prepare materials and set up workstations based on the day’s tasks.
• Fabricate custom structures using wood, laminates, structural components, and specialty materials.
• Measure and cut materials, assemble scenic elements, and build exhibit components and environments.
• Work with routers, table saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
• Collaborate with CAD detailers to ensure accuracy to drawings.
• Address design changes and adjust builds to fit installation requirements.
• Ensure structural integrity and finish quality during the fabrication process.
• Prepare builds for shipping, installation, and on-site assembly.
• Ensure all builds are accurate, safe, and ready for the next stage of the project.

Qualifications

• Background in scenic carpentry, exhibit fabrication, custom fabrication, millwork, or specialty builds.
• Experience in theatrical or production environments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Pride in craftsmanship.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.
