Carpenter 3

Role Summary

The Carpenter 3 will perform complex carpentry tasks in concrete carpentry or finish carpentry on various construction projects. This role may also involve supervising a team. Key responsibilities include:

• Setting forms for concrete
• Placing and finishing concrete
• Cleaning and maintaining tools
• Installing safety railings, floor openings, and other safety items
• Erecting temporary partitions and doors
• Assisting in door, frame, and hardware installations
• Ensuring PPE compliance and adhering to OSHA standards

Key Role Responsibilities - Core Carpenter Family

• Working knowledge of concrete tools and carpentry hand tools
• Basic understanding of layout and construction math
• Concrete Carpentry Specialty: Placement of rebar, layout activities, formwork systems, and concrete flatwork
• Finish Carpentry Specialty: Quality installation of casework, countertops, running trim, wood paneling, and doors
• Leading by example, teaching, and training the team
• Completing JE Dunn reports and pre-task planning
• Material forecasting for specific tasks
• Implementing safety procedures
• Coordinating with foremen on upcoming work

Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core Carpenter 3

• Advanced concrete carpentry tasks such as rebar placement, formwork systems, and concrete flatwork
• Advanced finish carpentry tasks including quality installation of casework, countertops, running trim, wood paneling, and doors
• Understanding and applying construction details related to concrete and finish carpentry
• Completing JE Dunn reports and pre-task planning
• Material forecasting for specific tasks
• Implementing safety procedures
• Coordinating with foremen on upcoming work

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in specific trade
• 5+ years commercial construction experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Apprentice and/or Vocational/Technical/Trade training
