Carpenter 3

Job Duties

• Perform daily inspections of wooden coasters
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Assist as needed or required with any aspect of Hersheypark, Hersheypark Arena, and Hersheypark Stadium operations
• Complete work in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Must have three years of verifiable work experience in the Carpentry trade (or Completion of trade school related training)
• This position requires successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam
• This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and requires successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug test

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of shop machines and hand tools
• Basic knowledge of trade materials and carpentry procedures
• Ability to pass a written and verbal trade test
• Ability to work without constant direction and supervision

Job Demands

• Must be able to supply own hand tools
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Able to work without constant direction and supervision
• Able to operate special equipment such as a fork truck, dump truck, high reach, air compressor, and other related equipment
• Able to work in heights in excess of 100 feet 20% of work will be completed in the carpentry shop, while 80% is completed on-site throughout the Hershey Entertainment Complex
• This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and requires successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug test

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

The work schedule will be based on union seniority.
