Carleton Archery Club

About the Role

The CASA (Carleton Afghan Students Association) representative will work towards representing Afghan students and actively participating in the larger Carleton University student association initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Introducing and promoting Afghan culture to foster cultural diversity within the university community.
• Advocating for Afghan girls denied the basic right to education in Afghanistan.
• Addressing and raising awareness about persistent issues and injustices faced by people in Afghanistan.
• Creating opportunities for Afghans in the West to reconnect with their roots and culture.

The CASA strives to provide a space for Afghans to celebrate their culture while also offering students and people of all backgrounds the chance to learn about Afghanistan—its beauty and the injustices currently taking place.
