About the role

The Express Cargo Warehouse Agent is a physically demanding position, requiring regular and continuous lifting up to 30 lbs. Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy physical work will succeed on our Warehouse Team. Express Cargo Agents perform a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving and processing inbound and outbound airfreight.

Pay rate: $21.50/hr.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate loading and unloading of trucks and move freight and containers throughout the cargo warehouse
• Manually sort/transfer packages/boxes into and out of containers for aircraft and trucks with urgency
• Ensure all cargo is scanned for tracking where appropriate
• Verify labels related to the cargo are correct
• Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
• Roll loaded containers to staging positions
• Operate pallet jacks or move package carts
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
• Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures and Policies

Requirements

• Good command of the English language (verbal and written)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid photo ID
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to work flexible working hours
• Ability to work in inclement weather when applicable
