About the role
A caring and reliable Support Worker is required to support a 7-year-old boy with autism and hypermobility. The child enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring new places and learning new things. The role involves providing one-to-one support, helping him take part in activities, maintaining routines, and creating a calm, positive environment.
Schedule
- 8 hours per week during term time
- 10 hours per week during school holidays
- 2 hours of support required on Monday evenings
- Remaining hours and working times to be agreed with the employer
Pay
£13.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support
- Ensure close supervision at all times
- Support access to community activities and social opportunities
- Encourage and remind the child to use the toilet regularly
- Promote independence where appropriate
- Provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment
Requirements
- Friendly, caring and empathetic
- Positive attitude and a good sense of humour
- Reliable, punctual and understanding
- Good communication skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
- Experience in a caring role, either formal or informal (desirable)
- Hold a driving licence and have access to your own vehicle (desirable)

- An Enhanced DBS check is required before employment starts (cost covered by the employer)
