Carer/Support Worker/PA - Female Southport
About the role
An opportunity has arisen to help build a small team to support a young lady with complex needs within her family home. 16+ hours available. Applicants' own availability/flexibility will be discussed at interview so that days/times etc can be mutually agreed. The role is to support a lovely young lady live her best life within her family home and out in her community. This would include meeting her daily needs including all aspects of personal care, supporting her program of activities in the family home and in accessing the community. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Day to day duties would include
- Personal care
- Meal preparation and cleaning
- Responsible for medication
- Transport support to and from activities/appointments
- Community based activities incl: Music sessions, Discos, Dances etc
- Therapy based activities incl: Hydrotherapy, Sensory rooms etc
- Home based activities incl: Story telling, Music making etc
- Trips out
Essential
We are looking for someone who is naturally kind, caring and motivated who has a genuine passion to support others. Ideally you will be understanding, compassionate, down to earth, trustworthy, and reliable and have a good sense of fun.
Qualifications
Experience in supporting children and/or adults with learning difficulties/disabilities is desirable.
