About the role

You'll be in someone's home, helping them stay there. That means assisting with bathing and dressing, getting to the bathroom, moving safely from a chair to a walker. Making lunch. Running the vacuum. Reminding them about their pills. Sitting with them when the afternoon gets long. Some clients have dementia, some are recovering from surgery, and some just need someone in the house so their family can go to work without worrying. You'll be matched with clients who fit your experience and comfort level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing and dressing
• Help with bathroom use and safe mobility (e.g., chair to walker)
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping (e.g., vacuuming)
• Remind clients about medications
• Provide companionship during downtime

Requirements

• At least six months of hands-on caregiving experience (paid or caring for a family member)
• California Home Care Aide registration, or willingness to obtain it (we’ll guide you through the process)
• Current TB clearance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Comfort with hands-on personal care

Pay

$18–$21 per hour based on experience. Paid biweekly, with same-day pay available through PayActiv if needed sooner.
